href=\"https:\/\/ww2.arb.ca.gov\/our-work\/programs\/naturally-occurring-asbestos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asbestos Airborne Toxic Control Measure for Construction, Grading, Quarrying, and Surface Mining Operations<\/a> (Asbestos ATCM) is a California Air Resources Board (<a href=\"https:\/\/ww2.arb.ca.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CARB<\/a>) regulation designed to protect nearby communities from harmful asbestos fibers that can be released during construction, grading, quarrying, and surface mining activities. The regulation applies to sites where any amount of naturally-occurring asbestos (NOA) is present in an area to be disturbed. NOA includes&nbsp;asbestiform varieties of serpentine (chrysotile), riebeckite (crocidolite), cummingtonite-grunerite (amosite), tremolite, actinolite, and anthophyllite.<\/p>\n<p>Under the Asbestos ATCM, projects greater than 1.0 acres are required to develop and implement an Asbestos Dust Mitigation Plan (ADMP) to minimize emissions of construction dust and NOA fibers. For projects located near offsite receptors, an Asbestos Air Monitoring Plan (AAMP) is also required for fenceline air sampling of NOA fibers. The program is administered by local air districts such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baaqmd.gov\/permits\/asbestos\/naturally-occuring-asbestos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bay Area Air Quality Monitoring District<\/a> (BAAQMD).<\/p>\n<p>Path Forward has significant experience in the development and implementation of ADMPs and AAMPs that meet the requirements of the Asbestos Toxics Control Measure. The company also evaluates asbestos data and fulfills Asbestos ATCM reporting requirements.
