The advisory provides guidance for the development of VIMS systems that prevent or mitigate the entry of vapor intrusion into buildings. The guidance outlines the steps required for the design and installation of both passive and active VIMS systems. Additionally, the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) has developed guidance on the selection and installation of VIMS for properties with vapor intrusion issues.<\/p><p>In addition to the state and federal guidance, county-level agencies also provide guidance for VIMS design and installation. For example, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health provides guidelines on the design and installation of VIMS systems as part of their <a href=\"https:\/\/dpw.lacounty.gov\/epd\/swims\/docs\/pdf\/methane\/Methane%20Packet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Methane Intrusion Mitigation Protocol<\/a>.
