ASTM E1527-21 Replaces ASTM E1527-13<\/strong><\/h2>

It’s worth noting that the ASTM E1527-21 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments is a relatively new standard that replaced the ASTM E1527-13 standard. The updated version of the standard (ASTM E1527-21) became effective on February 13, 2023<\/a>, and is the current standard for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. ASTM E1527-13 will remain active for one year before being withdrawn on February 13, 2024.<\/p>

Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process<\/strong><\/h2>

The LLP requirement demands that \u201call appropriate inquiry<\/a>\u201d (AAI) be made into the previous ownership and uses of a property consistent with good commercial or customary practice. Path Forward conducts independent and professional assessments to provide an expert opinion on recognized environmental conditions (RECs) associated with the subject Site.<\/p>

RECs are defined as the presence or likely presence of any hazardous substances or petroleum products on the subject property under conditions that indicate an existing release, a past release, or a material threat of a release of any hazardous substances or petroleum products to the environment. Depending on the needs of the project, the identification of a REC may lead to a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment<\/a>.<\/p>
